REMINDER FOR ALL PLAYERS WISHING TO TRIAL FOR 2015 NZ TEAMS Could clubs please remind their players of the following information: NZIHA are planning to send teams to International Events in 2015. There is a trial weekend being held in New Plymouth for ALL GRADES over the weekend of November 29/30. Trial Fee is $60 and payable on registration before entering the rink. Please note: it is preferred that payments are made by Eftpos at the rink. You MUST time your arrival to allow for registration and changing. A draft schedule is available, however this is subject to change and will be notified on the NZIHA website. The intention is to utilise both rinks. Administration will be undertaken in the rink office in the foyer. There is a formal dispensation process this year with a fee of $100. This must be paid into the NZIHA bank account (ASB 12-3152-0082141-00) at least 10 days before trials commence, with your name as reference. You MUST also email
[email protected] giving your name, medical certificate if applicable, grade you wish to be considered for, and detailing your injury or reason for not attending trial a minimum of 10 days prior to trial. Only players applying for dispensation will be considered by selection panels. Dispensation requests do not give an automatic entry into a team. The timeframe for the two days of trials is Saturday and Sunday start 8am with a finish approx. 3pm on Sunday. The event dates for 2015 (still in draft) are available from the NZIHA website 2015 calendar. Please note these are subject to change and will be updated as we are notified of any changes. There is still outstanding
information we are waiting on. Please refer to the citizenship document on the website for details or eligibility. Eligibility criteria has not changed. Age grades for international events are worked from dates as of January in the year of the event. Grades NZ is hoping to contest are: 12 & Under, 14 & Under, 16 & Under, JW 14 & Under, Veterans, Masters, 21 & Under, 18 & Under Junior Men and Women and Senior Men and Senior Women.
