Have you ever been jealous of someone because he or she has been successful at something? Have you ever said “Shr just got lucky”? Listen to what famous football coach Darrell Royal says about luck: Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Lucille Ball, famous American comedienne, says it another way: Luck to me is hard work. So whats the moral of this story? If you want to be lucky in life, you need to get prepared for what it is you want. So study hard. Get a good education and be prepared. You’ll be ready to meet Lady Luck when she knocks on your door. for the past few months we have shifted gears to exciting new learning essential for academic success. These next two months we are pushing students to their fullest potential! Instruction moves extremely fast during this time and daily attendance is vital for success. In addition, student ARE required to be in attendance during Interim Assessments. March 1st – March 8th. Beautify Our Campus Attention Parents: we will be having a Beautify our Campus community service event for 8 th and 9th graders on Saturday, March 3 from 10-12pm. The 8th graders will be invited by Mrs. Johnson to participate. All 9th graders can sign up with Ms. Ayala to earn hours for the community service graduation requirement. Remember, all high school students are required to complete 125 hours of community service in order to graduate. 9th grade students are encouraged to consistently turn in their hour logs so that Ms. Ayala can update their hours. Thank you!

8th Grade Parents: In order to facilitate our Wolves' road to college, we will be hosting MANDATORY 8th to 9th grade transition meetings for all incoming 9th grade students. All returning and new to IDEA 9th graders and their parents/guardians MUST engage in a transition meeting prior to June 2018. During transition meetings, we will review IDEA Public Schools’ 4-year high school graduation requirements which are intended to give students and parents a guide through high school.
