*Pray for opportunities to reinforce each day’s Bible story.

VBS Prayer Walk While on your prayer walk, use these suggestions to help guide you. Journey Off The Map Worship Rally *Pray everything that happens in the Worship Center will exalt the LORD. *Pray the kids will experience worship and see that Jesus is who we follow. (John 14:6) *Pray the music and skit teams will have strength from the Lord, be energized and remember their lines/words! (Philippians 4:13) *Pray for Pastor Chad as he shares the gospel on Thursday morning. Lift up the counselors meeting with kids who are seeking the Lord’s salvation. (Romans 10:17)

Pray for Children to ACCEPT and BELIEVE these Truths! *Jesus is God’s Son who was sent so we could be sons and daughters of God! (Galatians 4:4-5) *Obeying God is what we are to do, no matter what! (Deuteronomy 30:20) *Jesus is the only one who can save us from our sin. (John 3:16) *Jesus wants us to focus on Him by following HIM every day! (Isaiah 30:21)

Snacks *Pray those coordinating, preparing and serving snacks will do so with a cheerful heart and be alert to allergy concerns. (Psalm 91:3-4)

*Pray for kids to have an attitude like Christ in all recreational activities. (Ephesians 4:32) *Pray for safety and that all leaders will be sensitive to each child’s abilities. (Psalm 27:5) Ask for protection from heat/weather. *Pray for creativity in the activities so each child can participate.

Focus on the Bible *Pray for teachers to reflect the love of Jesus. Ask for the wisdom to help these little ones know that Jesus is God’s son! (Isaiah 42:1) *Pray unchurched families will be drawn to be involved in church after VBS. (Luke 2:52 & Proverbs 22:6) *Pray these young children learn that God will help them know what to do. (Isaiah 30:21) *Pray ALL children will know that God never changes and is all powerful. (Isaiah 59:1 & Numbers 11:23) *Pray we would love children for who they are, just like Jesus did. (Matthew 19:14) *Pray this generation of children will have a “Biblical Worldview” and Biblical mentors. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) *Pray for teachers of each age group to connect well and share Biblical truths clearly. (Matthew 10:20) *Pray for children (both newcomers, and those who have grown up in church) to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading as Chad shares the Gospel. Pray for spiritual preparation by workers (confessed sin) and tender hearts so the Holy Spirit won’t be suppressed. (Romans 3:23 & Acts 16:31)

XA Camp *Pray for the student leaders to connect well with these incoming seventh graders. Pray for these new students to have a sense of belonging to the Student Ministry that will last beyond XA Camp. Ask God to help Chris, Cole, Lezah and their team to discern what each new seventh grader needs.

Special Friends *Pray for the Special Friends to hear the Bible stories and enjoy time with their buddies. Let each buddy connect with the love that God first gave them and that the special friends will understand the love of Christ. (1 John 4:19) *Ask for families of special friends to feel loved and welcomed here. (1 John 4:19) *Pray for special protection from injuries and ask for a special hedge of protection in the “cooling down” room. Ask for empowerment by the Holy Spirit to deal with any issues and easily meet the needs of each special friend. (Matthew 11:28)

Youth Helpers *Thank God for the youth who volunteer for VBS. Ask God for them to be used effectively to connect with kids, as well as to have wisdom as they serve. (James 1:5)

Continuing the Connection: *Thursday Family Night-Ask God for good weather, safety and participation from families who may not have a church family. *Pray our church will continue to connect with un-churched kids and their families, long after VBS 2015 is complete. Ask God to make this a burden for our church. (Matthew 28:18-19)

Prayer Walk Guide

Daily Suggestions Pray each day for our Children’s and Preschool Ministers, Lezah and Delanee, along with the leadership team to be strong in the face of any spiritual warfare that tries to interfere with what God has planned for this week!! Monday: Pray for registration processes, good attendance and the Leadership Team on Day One of Journey Off The Map, VBS 2015. Tuesday: Pray for relationships to develop. Help everyone to be genuine, prayerful and open to the Spirit. Wednesday: Pray for the children who do not know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Ask that they can begin to believe God sent Jesus and they can accept God's gift of forgiveness. Ask that nothing would stop the Spirit from working. Thursday: Pray for Pastor Chad as he shares the Gospel with children in Grades 3-5. Pray for counselors to discern and join God where HE is working. Pray for Family Night and Continuing the Connection that will be held Thursday evening. Friday: Ask the Spirit to continue working today as children continue to ask questions about salvation and make eternal decisions. Pray for energy for everyone to finish VBS strong and have the stamina to complete our journey!

Interested in praying for VBS with others? Call Patti Scali at 214-293-2138 for opportunities. Those praying on campus during VBS must have completed a background check. Pray for God to call church members to be involved in praying for VBS and that they would be faithful to their commitment to pray EVERYDAY!!

Continuing the Connection Thursday, June 11 6 p.m. The Well Come help us pray for and contact the families of children who attended VBS to invite them to church. “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
