WEARY? TOWARD BEING REFRESHED Kyle Fox March 5, 2017
2 CORINTHIANS 4:7-12 At Red Mountain:
We have normal human imperfections and weaknesses
so that God’s power is known.
We experience death (with all of its friends) and deliverance
so that Jesus’ glorious life is shown.
We destroy our own personal desires for a glorious life
so that Jesus’ glorious life is owned by others.

QUESTIONS
1. What is “this treasure” in verse 7 referring to?
2. In the list given in verses 8-9, what is one that really strikes you that you have experienced?
3. Paul declares that we don’t have the power, that we are afflicted, that we are given over to death, etc. None of that seems like normal encouragement language, so how is this passage supposed to bring refreshment? What is so refreshing about the fact that even with God’s Spirit in us we won’t escape the full range of the human experience?
4. Whose name is mentioned four times in verse 10-11? How does that impact the focus of your life even in the day-to-day?
5. In what way do you need to die to your selfish desires for the sake of bringing life to another? For the sake of Red Mountain?
