Week 12 Questions Conclusion
A leftover question from last week, and a good transition to the final class: What does the doxology have to do with the petitions? D. M. Lloyd Jones reminded people not to rush into the petitions, the entire concept of ACTS prayer. Who and what are we praying for in these petitions? What is the big idea in each of them? For us the LP exists probably for most in the context of a child’s catechism or an early assignment. What was it like to be one of the disciples asking Jesus for a prayer and getting the LP? What are we doing when we repeat this prayer? A question perhaps too personal and not in the spirit of the LP: what difference does the LP make now in how you practice the faith?
