On January 21, the worship services will focus on partnering with parents in raising the next generation in God’s ways. Following the 8:30 service, during the Sunday School hour, you will be able to choose from seven “Milestone Workshops” that you as parents, single adults & grandparents would find most beneficial. In a few weeks, you will be able to sign up for one that would be most useful to you. STOCK DONATIONS Northview is able to receive stock gift donations. PAUL AND HIS LIFE-TRANSFORMING THEOLOGY by Roger Mohrlang Here is a concise, inviting introduction to the greatest of the early Christian missionaries, the Apostle Paul--his life, his letters, his thinking--and the lifetransforming gospel he proclaimed. Readers will find this book academically stimulating, theologically rich, and personally challenging. It highlights the ways Paul's life and thinking differ from--and challenge--the life and thinking of Christians today. Written in nontechnical language for both Christian students and general Christian readers, this book--the result of a lifetime of studying and teaching Paul's letters-will be helpful to all students and teachers of the Bible who want a deeper understanding of Paul, his theology, and the implications of his powerful letters for Christians today. Books are available from Roger Mohrlang for $12.

by Sharon Reidenbach I see Him from afar Like a radiant Star, Mighty, magnificent as a Scepter. His enemies ever conquered. (Numbers 24: 17-19, NKJV) What Child Is This? our Lord announced, in stern rebuke to King Ahaz before His Son drew breath?

Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son and shall call his name, Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14) What Child Is This? the minstrels sought from old the 4th of centuries in solemn chant to poets new we sing? Is this the King of kings, salvation brings

[to] loving hearts enthrone Him? (William Chatterton Dix, 1865). What Child Is This? in manger laid with musty straw of ox and sheep? Palms to pierce to cross condemned full-grown returned, to Heaven’s throne? What Child Is This? Who bore a lineage of no renowned? Yet hearts their seen unyielding faith a path of hope for such as we identify, that we too will feel.

His lift from waters deep. (Psalms 18:16). What Child Is This? A pagan sees, a king is scorned in hearing truth, to songs adorned Messiah’s glory, to wayward lineage blessed for us with outstretched arms?

~~~ It’s Christ, our Sovereign, Savior King! from humble means to promised Prince of Peace, Redeemer.
Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holi and without fault In his eyes (Ephesians 1:4, NLT). We were, and are known. this indescribable Child is mine!
