What does God want for me?

  What does God want for me?  8/30/17  God wants us to have no other gods before Him    Exodus 20:3    “You shall have no other gods before Me”   

 

  He wants us to put Him first.    God wants us to do the right thing 

 

Micah 6:8 

 

John 14:15 

1. To be just (Be fair)  2. Love with kindness  3. Walk humble    God wants us to obey   

 

1.  If we love Him, we will keep His commandments.    God wants us to serve   

 

 

Phil. 2:1‐8 

1. He came down to show us how to serve   Put others first    God wants us to love Him the most 

 

1. First ‐ Love God with all you have  2. Second – Love your neighbor   

Mark 12:28‐32 

    God wants us to become more like Him 

Romans 8:29 

1. To be conformed to the image of His son  Be an imitator of Christ    God wants us to be holy

1. Love will never pass away    God wants us to be humbled by a broken heart‐ Psalm 51:16‐17  1. Sacrifices and burnt offerings are not as important as a  broken and contrite heart.  Contrite:  Feeling or expressing remorse or penitence,  affected by guild.  2. A broken heart will cause an action to want us to please  our God.    God wants us to know as believers, we are family   John 1:12

Conclusion ‐ God wants from us:    1. No other gods before Him  2. To do the right thing  3. To obey Him  4. To serve  5. Love Him the most  6. Become more like Him  7. Be Holy  8. Love People  9. Be humbled and broken hearted from our ways  10. To be family.  PUT HIM FIRST!
