COKESBURY GLOBAL MISSIONS

WHERE WE SERVE Port Maria, Jamaica We partner with the American-Caribbean Experience (ACE): a Christian outreach ministry dedicated to community transformation in St. Mary, Jamaica through education, enterprise, healthcare, and discipleship.

Prague, Czech Republic In Prague, we work with a local church, English Speaking United Methodist Church Prague, and a family shelter, SKP HOPO. Both offer holistic solutions to community needs and empower local churches.

OUR prayer needs American-Caribbean Experience (Ministry located in Jamaica)

Please pray for provisions as ACE seeks to provide shoes for area children through their The Shoe That Grows Campaign. Please pray for recovery from the heavy rains that have caused great damage in St. Mary. Some of the child sponsorship families and friends have lost their homes, and are living in churches. This also affects ACE's crop production. Please pray for ACE staff: for their health, their families, and their ministry.

The Redmond Family (Serving in Prague)

Please pray for growth within the church they are serving. They are currently working on building leaders within the church as well as membership growth. They’re also working on renovating space for children and sound acoustics within the church.

SKP HOPO (Family Shelter located in Prague)

Please pray for the homeless families who have enlisted their help – and for their staff and facilities. Currently, they’re losing their preacher, and there is a shortage of pastors. They’re also planning to add a floor to their shelter to replace a portion of the building that’s been damaged. This area will be for single mothers and their children.
