From Head to Heart to Reality— a pilgrim’s guide.

Who Is Jesus? Try using this as a guide with your family, small group, or personal time with God to help truth from this week’s strengthen and grow you as you journey with the Master, Jesus. You might pick one or two questions at a time to consider. Jot down ideas or thoughts in your spiritual journal and discuss with God and others. A note from Pastor Guy— Would you take a few moments to talk with God and ask Him to take you further into understanding and embracing more of Jesus? As Him to speak as you fellowship with Him through what He says in His Word.

 From I—Read Acts 3:18-26, a key New Testament passage about the Anointed One spoken of by the prophets. What observations can you make about Jesus as the predicted prophet? As a prophet, Jesus both “foretells” and “forthtells.” What are three important truths about how to do life that are really valuable in relationships, marriage, or work? Try to include the references of these teachings.

 From II—Thoughtfully read Hebrews 4:14-16; 7:23-28; 9:11-14; 10:1922. List the particular benefit of Christ’s being our Priest. Which of these benefits is especially valuable to you? Explain. From the focus passage of Hebrews 7:23-25, what part of Jesus’ Priesthood do you think is often overlooked? Who are two people you know in whom He began a good work, and for whom now “always lives to make intercession”? Since this is true, what response can I have as I think of them, pray for them from day to day? Of the five reasons given that may cause you not to hit the prayer “target,” which two probably cause you to miss the most?

 From III—Read Revelations 17:14. In ancient Israel, what responsibilities/rights did a king have? As King, what rights, power, and authority does Jesus have? How could His being King affect my thinking if . . . I get cancer, lose my job, lose a friend, or am treated unjustly?
